It all starts with a call or e-mail.  We schedule a free consultation to see each project and custom tailor a proposal for your needs.  This can include simply Sorting, Categorizing, and Inventorying a group of items or a whole house.  It can also include coordinating services and donations. Each project is different and tailored to your unique needs and goals and a comprehensive proposal is sent detailing the plan of action as well as any anticipated costs.

We like to think everyone but some of our clients have hired us for Home Editing, (Reducing clutter, streamlining, clearing out superfluous home Décor and Accessories), for moves, for Estate clearing, and to help downsize among other things.  Decisions can be overwhelming and the task can seem enormous, but we are here to help.  We can do a collection, a room, or a whole house, but we warn you, this can become a healthy addiction!  Before you know it the benefits of clearing out are apparent and you want to work through all aspects of your life!

A streamlined home that looks, better, is easier to clean and where things are easier to find, and there is a place for everything you regularly use.  Identifying which pieces to sell can put a substantial amount of money in your pocket, clear out clutter in a green and mindful way, and make you feel emotionally lighter.  Donations help the community at large and are appreciated by all sorts of people who need these items.  Selling or donating items keeps our carbon footprint down.  Items don’t end up in a landfill and help to promote a ‘greener’ way of living.  Need we go on?

A typical 2,400 SF home with three Bedrooms takes 4-5 days to thoughtfully sort, categorize, and inventory.  After the initial consultation, we will usually have a proposal back within 2 working days.  After approval it depends on your goals and timeline.  We work with each client to create a reasonable timeline and make sure goals are met or exceeded in terms of executing a plan, and that you are comfortable with the progress.

We offer coordination of this as one of our services.  Let us send your pieces to our trusted network of resellers, auction houses, antiques and Vintage dealers, consignment shops, and even jewelers or dealers in precious metals and art. Part of our basic service is identifying where the best location is for each item and getting you the best results for your goals.

We are fans of online auctions!  We love to buy on e-Bay, but selling is a different matter.  We will handle the selling of certain items on a consignment basis, and the fee for each item is 50% of the proceeds after costs.  By the time e-Bay takes their fees, we add shipping and listing costs, and take our commission, you are left with thirty cents on the dollar, which may not be the best outcome for your item. We will say we are fans of estate and moving sales in person but also understand this is not always possible.  While we can't give away all our secrets, we can help to move the items to where they need to go!
